Catalytic reforming catalysts have the general characteristics of ordinary catalysts: they can change the chemical reaction rate; their quality and chemical properties remain unchanged before and after the chemical reaction; they have high efficiency, selectivity, specificity and a certain activation temperature. In addition, reforming catalysts are relatively specific:
1. Most reforming catalysts are dual-function catalysts—metal function and acid function;
2. Catalyst reforming catalyst carrier is alumina with large surface area;
3. The reforming catalyst after reduction has high activity, in order to prevent the temperature of the catalyst bed from rising, it must be passivated before entering the oil;
4. Reforming catalysts are required to operate under hydrogen ambient conditions and require strict water-chlorine balance.
